An important fuel switch initiative—dubbed the Fair Winds Charter—will be rolled out in Hong Kong on January 17 in an attempt to cut sulphur dioxide emissions by nearly 80 percent at one of the busiest shipping ports in the world.
The deal was effective from January 1, 2010, and the new company has been renamed Maritime Container Logistics.
The sale will allow Maritime to develop its interests in container transport and for DHL Freight to concentrate on its core services in the UK.
